2026: Who Are You Becoming

Happy New Year

I’d like to send each of you a heartfelt Happy New Year.  May 2026 bring you closer to your heart’s true desires.

I’m not usually one to place a lot of credence in numerology, but sometimes life taps you on the shoulder repeatedly until you listen.  I recently learned that 2026 is a Year One in numerology – and because I very much want this to be true, I’m sharing it with you.

Here’s how it works:

2+0+2+6 = 10

1+0 = 1

A Year One represents fresh starts, new beginnings, and a clean slate.  It’s the year that invites courage – courage to do things differently, to stop repeating old patterns, and to begin walking a path that is truly your own.  Energetically, it asks a powerful question:  Who am I becoming?

For me, this lands deeply.

Since COVID shut the world down in 2020, I’ve spent an enormous amount of time in self-reflection – listening to my body, decoding its messages, and doing inner work that simply wouldn’t have been possible had life continued at its previous pace.  Somewhere along the way, I crossed a quiet but meaningful threshold:  I moved out of survival mode and into a felt sense of safety in my body.

And when we’re no longer just surviving, a new question naturally arises:

If I’m not living simply to pay the mortgage, put food on the table, and kibble in the cat bowls…what am I here for?

2026 feels like the year I stop living according to other people’s expectations and begin stepping into the life I want.

This year also marks my 28th year in my financial career – a career I stayed in far longer than my soul would have preferred.  For a long time, I didn’t even realize how deeply unhappy I was, I was capable, responsible, and successful…and quietly miserable.  A familiar story for many of us.

A few months ago, I announced my retirement, and 2026 will be the year I officially step away from the 9-to-5 world. I’ll be moving fully into my work as a WILDFIT coach, Root Cause Therapy practitioner, and – once my studies are complete – a manifestation teacher.

These modalities beautifully support one another.

WILDFIT helps uncover how food, environment, and modern living impact our biology and behaviour.  Root Cause Therapy gently brings unconscious patterns and stored trauma into awareness so they can be released, rather than repeated.  Manifestation then becomes grounded and embodied – not wishful thinking, but the natural outcome of a regulated nervous system, aligned choices, and clarity of purpose.  Together, they create a lasting change from the inside out.

As we step into this Year One energy, I invite you to turn inward and ask yourself:  What does 2026 want me to become for you?  What might you do differently if you truly followed your own path?

Finally as we move into this Year One energy of fresh starts and conscious choices, I want to touch on something that has been a steady part of my life for many years.  I’ve been donating to charitable causes for over 30 years and volunteering for the past five, and what I’ve come to realize is that while this kind of giving is often described as selfless, it is also deeply life-giving.  Giving nourishes the soul, brings a sense of purpose, and reminds us that we are part of something larger than ourselves.

As you reflect on what new beginnings might look like for you in 2026, this may be the one gentle place to explore – whether that’s giving your time, your resources or your presence in a way that feels meaningful to you.  I’ll be sharing more about this in next month’s newsletter.

Here’s to new beginnings, brave choices, and becoming who we were always meant to be.

Thank you for reading.
